Deep Research mode

Deep Research is a long, multi-step mode for harder questions: it plans an approach, runs many web searches, reads sources, and synthesises a cited report you can export.

How it is metered

• Deep Research runs in a separate token pool — it does not spend your premium messages.
• You see a pre-run estimate and confirm before it starts, then a live plan/step timeline with its own token/$ meter.
• A run is cancellable at any time.

Because the pool is separate, a big research run never quietly drains the premium budget you use for everyday chat. You can top up the research pool independently.
