Models available in your region

knecty offers many models from multiple providers, and you can switch between them mid-conversation. A few availability rules exist for compliance and reliability.

Regional model availability

• For data-protection reasons, users in the EU and UK are never routed to DeepSeek — those models are not shown and the router will never select them there.
• In those regions, the fast tier is served by Mistral Small via Mistral instead, so you still get fast, low-cost replies.

This is expected behaviour, not a bug: if you are in the EU and UK and do not see a DeepSeek model in the picker, that is the regional exclusion working as designed. The "Served by" label always reflects the model that actually answered.

Switching models

Use the model picker to pick a fast or premium model per message. Premium models draw from your premium budget; fast models are effectively unlimited under fair use (see "How the credit wallet works").
